We monitor SEC EDGAR (Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval) for new insider trading filings. EDGAR is the primary system for companies and insiders to submit required disclosures to the SEC.
Filings are processed as they become available on EDGAR. Pro tier users receive real-time alerts; Free tier users receive alerts with a 24+ hour delay.
What we track
Form 3
Initial statement of beneficial ownership. Filed when an insider first becomes subject to reporting requirements.
Form 4
Statement of changes in beneficial ownership. Filed when insiders buy, sell, or otherwise acquire or dispose of securities.
Form 5
Annual statement of changes in beneficial ownership. Filed for transactions that were exempt from Form 4 reporting or corrections to previous filings.
Alerts
You can configure alerts based on filters such as company ticker, insider name, transaction type, and date range. When a filing matches your criteria, you receive a notification.
Email alerts: Sent to your registered email address.
Telegram alerts: Available for Pro users. Connect your Telegram account in the app to receive notifications.
Scoring
Our scoring system uses heuristics to rank transactions based on factors such as transaction size, insider role, transaction type, and historical patterns. Scores are provided as context and starting points for further analysis, not as investment advice or deterministic signals.
Higher scores indicate transactions that may warrant closer attention based on our algorithms, but all scoring is heuristic and should be used as one data point among many in your research process.
